Key findings (brief)
Band spraying on the hills was particularly effective for furrow irrigation because of the physical separation of the sprayed band and the water flowing in the furrow. Banding was most effective after herbicide application. The study also confirmed the tendency for residual herbicide to be persistent. However, when transported in the water phase of sediment water, partitioning increases with time after application.
